2010 Scion xB

Scion was founded in 2003 by Toyota Motor Corporation with the goal of being able to reach the younger generation and market these cars to them. Everything about the brand has the flavor of youth, from its viral marketing techniques to its sales packages. Scion is clearly an ingenious concept that Toyota was able to successfully realize.

Major Scion Milestones:

2004 – Scion vehicles were made available nationwide.

2007- A team comprised of Tran and NITTO TIRE technicians improved the performance of Scion tC. The team accomplished a new record of 739 hp, a milestone demonstrating the team's success.

2008 – Scion xD won the AutoPacific 2008 Vehicle Satisfaction Award in the Economy Car Segment.

Interesting Scion Fact:

The Toyota consumers’ median age is 54. With this in mind, the company has been trying to drum up interest for Toyota cars among the younger generation. Scion stems from the company’s difficulty with the attempt at this end called the Toyota Project Genesis.
